Award Winning Project
Introduction
European Art Be Like: Bridging Tradition and Modernity Through Art
This project, originally titled Europäische Kunst Be Like, was submitted to the 68th Europäischer Wettbewerb (“European Competition”) in May 2021 under the theme “Digital EU – and YOU?!”.
Competing in Module 4: Europäische Kunst vermitteln (Communicating European Art), it was awarded:
- Second Prize at the State Level
- Nationwide Award with Distinction for “Best Work” in the Text Category
The project explores how art reflects societal changes over time. As the world continuously evolves—politically, socially and culturally—art serves as a mirror to these transformations, capturing both the triumphs and challenges of each era. By examining the relationship between historical events and artistic expression, the project underscores how artists have consistently used their work to interpret and respond to the shifting dynamics of society. This perspective creates a meaningful connection between traditional European art and the present day, offering fresh insights into its relevance in modern times.
